The position:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Pro Shop Manager to oversee the operations and profitability of the resort’s Pro Shop and event management. Reporting to the Resort Manager and Controller, you will lead a dedicated team to ensure efficient operations, financial performance, and an exceptional guest experience.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Event & Program Management: Plan and execute league nights, tournaments, corporate outings, and private events with structured plans and budgets.
  • Marketing & Community Engagement: Develop targeted marketing strategies to increase participation and Pro Shop traffic. Utilize social media and digital marketing to engage audiences.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of 10-25 seasonal staff, ensuring high service standards and compliance with policies.
  • Pro Shop Operations: Oversee daily operations, implement sales strategies, and maintain high-quality guest interactions.
  • Financial & Inventory Management: Manage budgets, monitor sales trends, and ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Safety & Risk Management: Implement and enforce safety procedures to comply with Alberta Health Services, AGLC, and OHS regulations.


What you need to be successful:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning, program management, or hospitality, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in planning and executing tournaments, corporate outings, and private functions.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Knowledge of sales strategies, customer service principles, and financial management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, event management software, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and special event schedules.

Availability:
Full-time position with flexibility required during peak season (April to October) and for year-round operations.

Compensation:
Competitive salary based on experience.
