
Pool Operations Technician

The Position:
We are looking for a Pool Operations Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for the daily maintenance and upkeep of the resort’s indoor and outdoor pools, ensuring that they remain safe, clean, and in excellent working condition. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of pool chemistry, equipment maintenance, and water safety procedures.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Pool and Facility Maintenance: Perform regular pool cleaning tasks, including skimming, vacuuming, and brushing pool surfaces. Inspect and maintain pool equipment such as pumps, filters, and heaters to ensure optimal performance.
- Water Quality and Chemical Management: Conduct daily water tests to monitor chlorine, pH, and alkalinity levels, adjusting pool chemicals as needed to maintain water quality and safety. Maintain accurate records of all water tests and chemical treatments.
- Safety and Compliance: Monitor pool areas for safety compliance, enforce pool rules, and ensure emergency equipment is functional and readily available. Identify and report any safety concerns or maintenance issues.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist with basic repairs and troubleshooting of pool equipment. Support seasonal pool opening and closing procedures, including winterization and start-up preparations.
- General Cleaning and Facility Upkeep: Maintain cleanliness of surrounding pool areas, including decks and changing facilities. Ensure pool supplies, chemicals, and cleaning materials are stocked and properly stored.
What You Need to Be Successful:
- Knowledge of pool maintenance, water chemistry, and chemical balancing principles.
- Previous experience in pool operations or a similar maintenance role is preferred.
- Ability to operate pool cleaning and maintenance equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
- WHMIS and First Aid/CPR certification are assets.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Availability:
- Full-time seasonal position from April to mid-October.
- Must be available for early morning, daytime, and occasional evening or weekend shifts.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience
