The Position:
We are looking for hardworking and reliable Lawn & Grounds Care Crew Members to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the resort’s lawns, common areas, and recreational spaces. This includes mowing, trimming, edging, and assisting with general landscaping to keep the resort looking its best. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lawn & Turf Maintenance: Perform regular mowing, trimming, and edging of green spaces, ensuring proper cutting heights and turf health. Remove grass clippings and debris to maintain a clean environment.
- Equipment Use & Maintenance: Operate and maintain mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping tools. Report any equipment issues or repair needs to the Foreman.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and handle lawn care treatments responsibly. Report any hazards or unsafe conditions.
- General Grounds Support: Assist with seasonal grounds maintenance such as leaf removal, aeration, and pathway upkeep. Support outdoor services teams during peak times or special events.
What You Need to Be Successful:
- Experience in lawn care, landscaping, or grounds maintenance is an asset.
- Ability to safely operate mowing and trimming equipment.
- Physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License preferred.
- WHMIS and First Aid/CPR certification an asset.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Availability:
- Full-time seasonal position from April to mid-October.
- Must be available for early morning, daytime, and occasional evening or weekend shifts.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
