The Position:
We are looking for a personable and organized Front-of-House (FOH) Assistant (Host) to ensure a welcoming atmosphere and smooth seating process at our resort restaurant. Reporting to the Chef and Sous Chef, this position plays a key role in managing guest arrivals, reservations, and seating arrangements, ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.

What you’ll be doing:
Guest Greeting & Seating: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their assigned table, and provide menus. Ensure smooth communication with servers regarding special requests.
Dining Area & Guest Flow Management: Maintain a clean and welcoming entrance, ensuring guest flow is managed efficiently during peak times. Monitor and restock menus, promotional materials, and other items.
Guest Assistance & Service Support: Assist guests with inquiries, directions, or special requests. Help clear and reset tables and maintain cleanliness in dining and waiting areas.
Team Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure a seamless experience. Contribute to a collaborative and positive team environment.
Guest Complaint Resolution & Incident Reporting: Professionally handle guest complaints and escalate issues when necessary. Document and report incidents or accidents as per resort procedures.
What you need to be successful:
Previous serving or hospitality experience is an asset.
Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable using reservation management systems.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent service.
Positive attitude and dedication to ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
Availability:
Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Workload may fluctuate depending on resort seasons and special events.
Reliable transportation to and from the location.
