Gleniffer Lake Resort & Country Club is looking for experienced, high energy, motivated restaurant and culinary professionals who are ready to join the team for the 2023 season. Full-time and Part-time positions are available, with start dates from March-May.

Assistant Restaurant Manager Responsibilities:

• Opening and closing the restaurant.
• Training and mentoring new staff members.
• Resolving customers’ questions and grievances in a professional manner.
• Assist in managing scheduling during peak/off peak hours (cutting staff, managing workloads)
• Ensuring that the restaurant adheres to pertinent health and safety regulations.
• Assist in inventory management
• Assist in policy development and implementation of new procedures
• Recording all income and expenses and ensuring that cash registers are balanced.
• Ability to serve tables, while providing support in other areas of the restaurant (bussing, hostessing, bartending)
• Assist in planning special events at the restaurant
• Work and communicate effectively with kitchen staff about new products and specials

Assistant Restaurant Manager Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Previous supervisory experience, preferably within a restaurant.
• Intermediate accounting and computer skills.
• Strong leadership skills with an affinity for capacity development.
• Excellent conflict resolution abilities.
• Innovative, trustworthy, and impartial.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must hold Valid Pro-Serve
• Food Handling certification an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
