The Position: We are looking for an experienced and creative Chef to lead our kitchen operations and deliver an outstanding dining experience. Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager, you will oversee menu development, food preparation, and kitchen staff while ensuring a high standard of quality and consistency. You will also manage food costs, inventory, and kitchen safety standards to align with our casual sports bar and gastro pub concept.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Menu Development & Execution: Design and maintain a high-quality, approachable menu that aligns with a casual sports bar and gastro pub concept, incorporating seasonal specials.
Food Preparation & Kitchen Operations: Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Cost Control & Inventory Management: Monitor food costs, minimize waste, and manage vendor relationships to maintain accurate inventory and control expenses.
Leadership & Team Development: Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high service and quality standards.
Guest Experience & Customer Satisfaction: Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and accommodate dietary restrictions and special requests.
Event & Special Menu Support: Assist in executing food offerings for special events, tournaments, and resort-wide functions.
What You Need to Be Successful:
Culinary training from a reputable program or equivalent professional experience. Red Seal Certification is an asset.
1-2 years of experience in a kitchen leadership role, preferably in a casual dining, sports bar, or pub setting.
Strong knowledge of key culinary techniques, including grilling, frying, butchery, and baking.
Experience managing food costs, inventory, and kitchen workflows.
Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of food safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Reliable transportation to and from the resort.
Availability:
Seasonal full-time position from April to mid-October.
Must be available for evening and weekend shifts, particularly during peak resort events.
