The Position:
We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support our Chef and Sous Chef in delivering an exceptional dining experience. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will assist in maintaining kitchen cleanliness, organization, and efficiency, while also supporting basic food preparation tasks and inventory management. Your role is vital in ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly, allowing the culinary team to focus on preparing and presenting high-quality dishes for our guests.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Kitchen Organization & Support: Assist the Chef and Sous Chef in setting up and breaking down the kitchen, ensuring all workstations, storage areas, and equipment are clean and organized.
- Food Preparation & Assistance: Help with basic food preparation, such as chopping, portioning, and plating, while ensuring ingredients are ready for service.
- Sanitation & Safety: Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen, wash dishes, utensils, and equipment, and follow health and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with sanitation standards.
- Inventory & Stock Management: Assist with receiving deliveries, organizing stock, tracking inventory levels, and ensuring stock rotation to maintain freshness.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations, providing support during peak service times.
- Guest Experience & Customer Satisfaction: Assist with food prep and presentation, ensuring that all guest expectations are met and dietary restrictions are accommodated as needed.
What You Need to Be Successful:
- Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with others.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 30 lbs.
Availability:
Seasonal full-time position from April to mid-October.
Must be available for evening and weekend shifts, particularly during peak resort events.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
You must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
