Gleniffer Lake Resort & Country Club is looking for experienced, high energy, motivated restaurant and culinary professionals who are ready to join the team for the 2023 season. Full-time and Part-time positions are available, with start dates from March-May.
Assistant Restaurant Manager Responsibilities:
- Opening and closing the restaurant.
- Training and mentoring new staff members.
- Resolving customers’ questions and grievances in a professional manner.
- Assist in managing scheduling during peak/off peak hours (cutting staff, managing workloads)
- Ensuring that the restaurant adheres to pertinent health and safety regulations.
- Assist in inventory management
- Assist in policy development and implementation of new procedures
- Recording all income and expenses and ensuring that cash registers are balanced.
- Ability to serve tables, while providing support in other areas of the restaurant (bussing, hostessing, bartending)
- Assist in planning special events at the restaurant
- Work and communicate effectively with kitchen staff about new products and specials
Assistant Restaurant Manager Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Previous supervisory experience, preferably within a restaurant.
- Intermediate accounting and computer skills.
- Strong leadership skills with an affinity for capacity development.
- Excellent conflict resolution abilities.
- Innovative, trustworthy, and impartial.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must hold Valid Pro-Serve
- Food Handling certification an asset
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
